This is a cloud in which all associations are visually represented through words provided by students. Terms that occur more frequently are displayed larger. With this, you can connect to the prior knowledge of the students when introducing a new theme or topic.
• Choose an online program where you can create a word cloud. • Briefly introduce a theme/topic that you want to discuss with the students. • Let students input words via the online program. • Review the word cloud together and ask questions such as: • What stands out? • Which words appear frequently? • Do you understand all the words?
You can also have this working form done in groups of 3-4 and compare the different word clouds with the whole group
