Live assessment is a activity where students answer questions that you, as a teacher, simultaneously and visibly for the rest of the class, review out loud. In this way, the whole class can learn from each other.
• Have students answer (open) questions during the lesson, for example on a Padlet (see toolbox). • Make the answers visible live via a projector. • Pause the lesson occasionally and highlight one or more answers, providing feedback. • Then have students review their own work or that of another using that example.
• Open questions are best suited for this working form • You can also ask questions like: 'which answer do you think is the best?' or 'how many points would you give this answer?'
• Good questions • A tool, such as Padlet
